CSULB has a Volunteer Crisis Resource Team (VCRT) to support students, faculty, staff, and any family or community members who are on campus during or after wide-spread campus or community emergencies.
The VCRT originated out of discussions in the Campus Climate Committee following the Sept. 11, 2001, World Trade Center disaster and is now a collaborative endeavor involving University Police, Counseling and Psychological Services, the Division of Student Services, and others. In its beginning phase, nearly 200 faculty and staff expressed interest in being on the VCRT. Since then, many of them have been trained.
If you would like to be trained as a volunteer, contact Sgt. Scott Brown, University Police, at 985-1992.
