CSULB’s Gavin Arroyo has been namedthe Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) Men's Water Polo co-Coach of the Year. Arroyo, who is in his second year with the 49ers, shared the honor with UC Irvine's Marc Hunt.
Slowinski Receives Grants for Research
into Electrical Properties of Thin Films
Krzysztof “Kris” Slowinski, CSULB associate professor of chemistry, recently received two additional grants to advance his research into the electrical properties of nanomaterials and thin films.
Professor Receives $200,000 Grant
to Study Obesity Issue in U.S., Brazil
Margaret Costa, a kinesiology professor at CSULB, has received a $200,000 grant from the Fund for the Improvement of Postsecondary Education (FIPSE) to support a consortium of four universities as they study the obesity issue in the United States and Brazil.
