Staff Human Resources and University College and Extension Services (UCES) are launching the CSULB Staff Employee Discount Program for UCES Professional Development for non-credit courses and programs. This program entitles CSULB staff employed for six months or more to a 30 percent discount on select UCES Professional Development courses and programs. “Informal discipline for HEERA Managers”
One of the most difficult human resources management obstacles involves handling employees with behavior- or performance-related problems in the workplace. This workshop familiarizes managers with the tools they have available to them, shows managers how to properly apply these tools, and ultimately assists managers in dealing with these types of situations.
Wednesday, Nov. 7 / 9 a.m.-noon
This three-hour workshop is presented by the AP Manager and Travel Accounting staff. The workshop is open to all faculty and staff who travel on university business, or arrange travel for university staff. It is designed to provide information for making travel arrangements and completing the paperwork for yourself, supervisors, co-workers or guests of the university. It is an interactive workshop and time will be provided for questions.

“Mastering the Front Desk”
All administrative support employees are invited to this workshop that will explore the importance of the front desk image. Learn how to effectively communicate and organize your personal space, and provide superior internal and external customer service. Lisa Hernandez from Staff Human Resources will facilitate this new session.

The Purchasing Workshop includes instruction on initiating requisitions, placing and receiving orders, invoice payments, PeopleSoft purchasing, CSU system wide contract, and other purchasing options.
