on $22 Million GEAR UP Project
CSULB is partnering with the Long Beach Unified School District (LBUSD) on a $22.4 million federally funded project that will begin working with nearly 4,000 sixth graders at 13 area middle schools this year to boost their college readiness over the next six years.

“Community Service Learning in the CSU System,” a documentary produced for and funded by the CSU Chancellor’s Office, recently won a national Hometown Video Award for best Educational Activities Documentary.
Alumni Association
Grants Available
The CSULB Alumni Association has increased the top allocation for the Alumni Grants Program to $10,000, up from $5,000, for a total of up to $60,000. Applications are now available and are due on Friday, Dec. 14. Grant allocations range from $1,500-$10,000.
