Kenneday Honored as Visual Art Educator
Elizabeth Kenneday, an associate professor of art at CSULB, has been named the Outstanding Higher Education Visual Art Educator for 2006 by the California Art Education Association.
Ahrens Receives Early Career Award
Psychology’s Courtney Ahrens was named as the recipient of the 2006 Early Career Award for Scholarship and Service from the Society for the Psychological Study of Social Issues. This award was created to recognize one scholar each year who combines excellence in scholarship and service.
Faculty Receives Funds for METRANS Projects
CSULB recently received $616,898 to fund six 2006-07 METRANS-CSULB Research Projects. Among theprojectsis one that will study methods of modeling and evaluating the effect of port disruptions and another that will assess the impacts of streamlining in-terminal vehicle movements at the Los Angeles and Long Beach ports.
