Osher Institute to Offer Presentation on Elder IssuesPublished: November 16, 2009
On Tuesday, Dec. 1, at 1:15 p.m., Osher Lifelong Learning at CSULB will host an invited a speaker from the State Bar’s Speakers’ Bureau to give a presentation as part of its “Educating Seniors” program. The event will be held in Human Services and Design building, Room 101.
The speaker will be Maxine Barton, a retired attorney who will cover the topics on the current scams in existence targeting seniors, recognizing elder abuse and more specifically Elder Financial Abuse, and legal remedies that are available. The program will also include a DVD regarding estate planning as well as multiple brochures from the State Bar Association.
