Munch ‘n Learn Series Continues Aug. 11 at Science CenterPublished: August 3, 2009
Presented by CSULB’s Staff Council, the Munch ‘n Learn series continues on campus with the next scheduled event set for Tuesday, Aug. 11.
The popular series offers campus members the opportunity to visit offices and facilities at the university, giving them the chance to meet staff, learn about services and gain awareness of a variety of resources. All tours/programs are held from noon-1 p.m. and those attending are encouraged to bring their lunches.
On Aug. 11, the Staff Council’s Munch ‘n Learn tour will tour the Science Learning Center, located in the basement of Peterson Hall 2, Room 010. Led by center director Jim McKibben, learn how the Science Learning Center’s “Merlin” and “Houdini” got their names, what makes a flea so irritating to your pet, as well as the answer to many other mysteries.
To register, complete the form and return it to Nancy Green in the University Bookstore by e-mail or call 562/985-7854.
