Published: July 1, 2009

Facilities Management’s Robert Leigh was honored for winning the top prize — a photo with President Alexander and a “Go Beach!” gift bag — on Bike To Work Day. Bike to Work Day is an annual nationally recognized event each May to support bicycling as a sustainable commute option. If you missed participating in this year’s Bike to Work Day, don’t wait until next year to get started. Thinking of biking to campus? CSULB Rideshare and League of American Bicyclists offers the nationally accreditied “Traffic Skills 101″ bike commute class each month free of charge. There is even a personal commute coach for on-road training and support. Rideshare also offers free bike safety checks and tune-ups on campus each month by JAX Bike mechanics.
