Ethics At The Beach WorkshopPublished: October 15, 2013
CSULB’s annual Ethics at The Beach seminar for students will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 1, in the University Student Union Ballroom. The workshop is offered by the Ukleja Center for Ethical Leadership, the Associated Business Students Organization Council and the Student Center for Professional Development.
This year’s featured presenters are Aaron Beam, former CFO of HealthSouth Corporation, and Richard Strozzi-Heckler, President of Strozzi Institute. Beam was convicted of fraud committed during his tenure at HealthSouth and now lectures on business ethics. Strozzi-Heckler is an internationally acclaimed leadership coach, 6th degree black belt in Aikido, and author of seven books, including The Leadership Dojo.
The workshop includes continental breakfast and a certificate of completion. Students will learn how to center themselves in stressful situations, balance their personal and professional life, and recognize the impact of their leadership choices on themselves and others.
This event is provided at no charge to students thanks to sponsorship from Target, ASI, Edna Davis Hobbs Memorial Endowment, and County of Los Angeles Supervisor Don Knabe.
To attend, students must make reservations at www.eventbrite.com/event/8267312755 by Friday, Oct. 25.
