UCES Offers Accelerated Courses Through May IntersessionPublished: May 15, 2009
Students who need units to graduate or are having difficulty getting into bottlenecked or high-demand courses may earn units through May Intersession, run by CSULB’s University College and Extension Services. The three-week term, the first time it has been offered, will run Tuesday, May 26 through Monday, June 15 on an accelerated format.
“May Intersession will be extremely helpful to many students, especially those who plan to graduate on time, but just need a few extra credits,” said UCES Dean Jeet Joshee. “Also, the three-week intensive session that starts in May will give students who plan on working full-time during the summer more flexibilty.”
Students can register for additional units and may be eligible for certain types of financial aid. May Intersession is open to anyone who is a high school graduate or over the age of 18. Formal admission to the university is not required nor does attendance constitute admittance to the university. Both matriculated and non-matriculated students can attend and the fee for May Intersession is $189 per unit. Matriculated students can register through myCSULB.
