Science Research Symposium Set for April 17 in The PointePublished: April 15, 2009
Faculty from CSULB’s College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics and the Department of Psychology will present summaries of their research during the inaugural Faculty Research Symposium on Friday, April 17, from 12:30-6 p.m. at The Pointe in the Walter Pyramid.
Ten faculty members will give 20-minute talks from 12:40-4:15 p.m. on topics ranging from the role of ovarian steroids to creating safe drinking water, while an additional 18 professors will follow from 4:25-6 p.m. with poster presentations in biological sciences, chemistry and biochemistry, geological sciences, mathematics and statistics, physics and astronomy, psychology and science education.
