Food and entertainment from countries around the world will highlight the 46th Annual International Dinner and Culture Show on Saturday, April 27, in CSULB’s University Student Union (USU) Ballroom. The theme of this year’s celebration is “Global Fusion.” Sponsored by the International Student Association (ISA) with co-sponsorship from Associated Students Inc., and support from the Center for International Education and local businesses and restaurants, the event begins at 6 p.m.
Following a dinner of cuisine representing various cultures, the program will feature international students and local acts performing musical entertainment and dancing from genres such as Bollywood, folklorico, salsa, belly dancing, flamenco and Chinese folk music, as well as acts with Polynesian, Chinese, Aztec and Lebanese origins. Along with the performances, students will present a fashion show featuring traditional clothing worn in a variety of countries across the globe.
Jaejin Eum, International Student Association event chair, invites the campus community and the public to attend the event.
“Becoming a citizen of the world begins from appreciating diversity and cultures,” he said. “The 46th Annual Multicultural Dinner Show can help you become that citizen.”
The cost for students with I.D. is $10, faculty and staff are $15, and admission for the general public is $20 per person.
