Kirstyn Chun, Counseling and Psychological services, co-authored a book chapter titled “Multiracial/Multiethnic Queer and Transgender Clients: Intersections of Identity and Resilience” with Anneliese Singh of the University of Georgia, published in the Casebook for Counseling Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Persons and Their Families edited by Sari H. Dworkin and Mark Pope, in 2012.
Karen Clippinger, Dance, presented three workshops titled “Unwinding Scoliosis with Pilates,” “Hip and Knee Biomechanics on the Reformer,” and “Sacroiliac Function and Pilates Exercise Design” at the Balanced Body–Pilates on Tour Conference in Atlanta held Feb 1-3.
Boak Ferris, English/Comparative World Literature/Classics, presented a fiction-writing workshop titled “Homer’s Modern Fiction Techniques” for the Hawaii International Conference on the Arts and Humanities held Jan. 13.
Steve Fleck, Romance, German, Russian Languages and Literatures, gave a paper titled “Teaching Molière: Performance Considerations” at the Association for Interdisciplinary French 17th Century Studies conference held at Wellesley College on Nov. 8. He will host next year’s conference jointly at UCLA’s William Andrews Clark Library and CSULB.
