Annual Student Research Competition Set For Feb. 22Published: February 15, 2013
On Friday, Feb. 22, CSULB will hold its 25th Annual Student Research Competition in the College of Business Administration’s classrooms. The purpose of the competition is to showcase excellence in scholarly research and creative activity conducted by CSULB undergraduate and graduate students in the full range of academic programs offered by CSULB.
The respective categories include Biological and Agricultural Sciences; Physical and Mathematical Sciences; Engineering and Computer Science; Humanities and Letters; Creative Arts and Design; Social and Behavioral Sciences; Health, Nutrition, and Clinical Sciences; Education; and Business, Economics, and Public Administration
This academic conference will feature oral presentations to an audience of fellow students and a jury of distinguished faculty. Students with the best presentations in each category will receive a certificate and a cash prize of $100 courtesy of the President’s office.
Up to 10 students will be selected from among the first- and second-place winners to compete in the 27th Annual CSU Statewide Student Research Competition, which will be held at Cal Poly Pomona on May 10-11.
An awards banquet for all participants, faculty mentors and jurors will follow the competition in The Chartroom on campus, at which time winners will be announced.
