Safe Zone Ally Training Available To Support Campus Community
Published: February 15, 2013Faculty, staff, and teaching assistants are invited to participate in a training program to help them better understand lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer or questioning (LGBTQ) issues and be part of a university-wide network of support.
The Safe Zone Ally Training will be held Friday, Feb. 22, from 8:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. RSVP to Sharon Cruz, by Wednesday, Feb. 13. Space is limited.
After training, faculty and staff will serve as allies who use their knowledge and skills to foster a supportive and safe atmosphere for LGBTQ students, faculty, and staff. Everyone who completes the training will receive a CSULB Safe Zone Ally sticker to display.
