Safe Zone Ally Training Available To Support LGBTQ Community
Published: September 17, 2012Faculty, staff and teaching assistants are invited to participate in a training program to help them better understand lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) or questioning issues and be part of a university-wide network of support.
The Safe Zone Ally Training will be held Friday, Sept. 28, from 8:15 a.m.-12:30 p.m. in the Chart Room’s Pacific Room. RSVP to Sharon Cruz, by Monday, Sept. 24. Space is limited.
After training, faculty and staff will serve as allies who use their knowledge and skills to foster a supportive and safe atmosphere for LGBTQ students, faculty, and staff. Everyone who completes the training will receive a CSULB Safe Zone Ally sticker to display.
