VET NET Ally Seminar On April 26

Published: April 16, 2012

Because the transition from military life to life on a college campus can be difficult, the CSULB Veterans Affairs Services Office has developed the VET NET Ally Program.

The goal of the program is to foster a campus atmosphere that supports the academic and personal success of service members and veterans, and to establish a network of visible allies to provide support and assistance to CSULB students who have served in our armed forces. This program includes seminars to educate faculty and staff of the unique needs and concerns of military service members and veterans studying at CSULB.

Interested faculty and staff are invited to participate in a half-day VET NET ally training seminar on Thursday, April 26, from 8 a.m.to noon. Attendance is limited. To reserve a seat, contact Marshall Thomas by Thursday, April 19 at 562/985-4279.

At the end of the training, participants will be given a decal to display in their workspace to show they are allies to CSULB’s student veterans. For additional information, visit the VET NET Ally Awareness Program website.
