LAC’s Redmayne Named Employee Of The MonthPublished: May 15, 2012
Andrew Redmayne, operations coordinator for the Learning Assistance Center (LAC) and a member of CSULB’s staff for 16 years, was named by his coworkers in the Division of Academic Affairs recently as employee of the month.
Redmayne was recognized in a special ceremony held near the University Student Union on Friendship Walk which was renamed for the month of April as Andrew Redmayne Lane. He also received several gifts from the university including CSULB apparel as well as a variety of gift cards from local merchants.
CSULB President F. King Alexander applauded Redmayne’s recognition. “Andrew is very conscientious,” he said. “He always goes out of his way to make sure that student and staff needs are met. He always goes the extra mile to help fellow staff members and always exercises good judgment. His co-workers appreciate his dedication and positive attitude. He is a great problem solver, making the LAC that much more efficient. He always focuses on others before himself.”
Redmayne was pleased to be selected as employee of the month. “I feel extremely honored,” said the third-generation Angeleno. “I’m grateful to be named.”
Redmayne first arrived on campus on an academic scholarship, later earning his Bachelor of Arts degree in English. Currently, he is a graduate student slated to complete his Master of Public Administration degree in the fall.
