Alumni Grants Reception Set For April 25 At The PointePublished: April 16, 2012
The campus community is invited to help congratulate the CSULB Alumni Association’s 2012 grant recipients at a reception on Wednesday, April 25 at 4 p.m. at The Pointe.
The association is proud to award a total of $73,275 to 11 programs as part of its annual Alumni Grants Program. To date, nearly $678,000 has been distributed through the program’s 21-year history. The SchoolsFirst Federal Credit Union is also a sponsor of this program.

— Advanced Studies in Education and Counseling: Computer assistive equipment for Special Education teacher students (Tina Arora);
— Art Department, Metals Program: Blacksmithing equipment (Susanna Speirs);
— Biological Sciences: Dynamometers and laptop (Ashley Carter);
— Biological Sciences: Microscopes (Mason Zhang);
— Civil Engineering and Construction Engineering Management: Seismic wire transducer and digital panel meter display system (Yu-Fu Ko);
— Cole Conservatory of Music: Sound system for jazz ensembles (Christine Guter);
— Communicative Disorders: Audiometers and rolling work station (Jennifer Ostergren);
— Criminal Justice Dept./College of Continuing and Professional Education: Emergency Services Administration Program: Medical equipment for training (Peter Kreysa);
— Geography: Interactive audio visual system for Geographic Info Science (Paul Laris);
— Learning Assistance Center: Anatomical brain model and workstations (Gen Ramirez);
— Science Learning Center: Exhibit materials and upgrades (Jim McKibben).
