Homecoming Week Set Nov. 6-13; 49ers Take On Idaho Vandals
Published: November 1, 2011The campus community, alumni and friends are invited to celebrate Homecoming 2011 on Saturday, Nov. 12, from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. in parking lot 13, adjacent to The Mike and Arlene Walter Pyramid.
The Alumni Association will host an Alumni and Friends tent, celebrating 49er Pride and Tradition with the campus community, alumni and friends of the university. A Beach Pride Grand Brunch buffet will be served from 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m., with meal tickets costing $10 for children (under 10), $20 for Alumni Association members and $25 for non-members.
Game ticket packages are also available and include a meal and a ticket for the men’s basketball game vs. the University of Idaho. The cost for Alumni Association members is $15 for children (under 10), $27 for adult members and a guest, and $32 for non-members.
Homecoming features many free activities for the family including inflatable games, a historical gallery, airbrush tattoos, a photo booth, henna tattoos, a mechanical bull, jousting, caricature artist, Freshmen Report Card Program, live entertainment by the Bobby Alto All-Stars featuring hits of the 1960s, 70s and 80s, and much more. There also will be a Student Tailgate Zone and a 49er Athletic Club Tailgate Pavilion, Beach Pride zone and bookstore apparel tent.
Homecoming festivities will be followed by the men’s basketball season opener against the Idaho Vandals at 2:05 p.m. in The Walter Pyramid.
