VET NET Ally Seminar On Oct. 21

Published: October 17, 2011

Because the transition from military life to life on a college campus can be challenging, the CSULB Veterans Affairs Services Office has developed the VET NET Ally Program to educate faculty and staff about the unique needs and concerns of military service members and veterans studying at CSULB. Interested faculty and staff are invited to participate in the next scheduled half-day VET NET Ally seminar on Friday, Oct. 21 from 8 a.m.-noon.

The program is designed to foster a campus atmosphere that supports the academic and personal success of service members and veterans, and to establish a network of visible allies to provide support and assistance to CSULB students who have served in our armed forces.

Training seminar attendance is limited. To reserve a seat, contact Marshall Thomas at 562/985-4279. At the end of the training, participants will be given a decal to display in their workspace to show they are allies to CSULB’s student veterans.

For more information about the program, visit the Veterans Affairs Services website at www.csulb.edu/veterans.
