Career Development Center Accepts Necktie Donation

Published: July 15, 2011

CSULB recently received 100 ties from the LBS Financial Credit Union which donated them to the campus’ Career Development Center (CDC). The neckties, available for free to CSULB students attending important professional events, were donated by LBS Financial employees as part of a program to reinforce a professional appearance in the workplace.

“This generous contribution from LBS Financial Credit Union will assist many of our students in preparing for their employment interviews,” said Manuel Pérez, director of the CSULB Career Development Center. “Students who participate in our Dress for Success-Interview Preparation workshops will be able to take advantage of this opportunity and choose a tie of their liking. Dressing professionally to an interview will give our students added confidence and an advantage for success.”
