Nominations Sought For Academic Senate Senator PositionsPublished: May 2, 2011
Nominations are being sought for two staff senator positions on the Academic Senate. The Academic Senate meets twice a month during the academic year.
The Academic Senate is a full-University Senate which concerns itself with many needs of the university by developing policies and serving as a communications link between the faculty and the administration of the university. It includes not only faculty in its voting membership, but also representatives from the staff, students, student services and administration.
One staff senator position is for a one-year term, the other a two-year year term. If you are interested and are a permanent full-time staff employee, visit the Staff Council website for a nomination form and/or more information or e-mail Charleen Rice receive a nomination form. The nomination form submission deadline is Friday May 6.
