Faculty, Staff Invited To Participate In VET NET Ally Seminar April 29
Published: April 1, 2011Because the transition from military life to life on a college campus can be difficult, the CSULB Veterans Affairs Services Office has developed the VET NET Ally Program, a program to educate faculty and staff about the unique needs and concerns of military service members and veterans studying at CSULB. Interested faculty and staff are invited to participate in a VET NET Ally seminar on Friday, April 29, from 8 a.m.-noon.
The goal of the program is to foster a campus atmosphere that supports the academic and personal success of service members and veterans, and to establish a network of visible allies to provide support and assistance to CSULB students who have served in our armed forces.
Seminar attendance is limited. To reserve a seat, contact Marshall Thomas at 562/985-5621 by Friday, April 15. At the end of the seminar, participants will be given a decal to display in their workspace to show they are allies to CSULB’s student veterans.
