Staff Day Scheduled For March 30Published: March 15, 2011
The campus community is invited to take part in Staff Day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 30, on the Bookstore lawn and the Nugget patio.
Organized by Staff Council, Staff Day is a CSULB tradition that began almost four decades ago to bring campus members together for fun, music, learning, shopping, education and sharing ideas and products.
Activities include music provided by staff emeritus Jim Long; door prizes; a rummage sale; vendors, craft and information booths; and a University Bookstore sale.
Lunch by Beach Catering is available for purchase for $7. Sandwich selections include turkey club on sourdough bread, Mediterranean roast beef with asiago cheese on a baguette, or vegetarian sandwich, and includes chips, a cookie and soda or water. Lunch tickets must be purchased by Friday, March 25.
Staff Day t-shirts designed by Steve Traurig of the campus Sign Shop are available for $10 and must be ordered by Friday, March 18.
Donate your gently used or new unwanted items for the rummage sale, whose proceeds benefit Staff Council activities. Contact Charleen Rice in Facilities Management to arrange for pickup.
For tickets, t-shirt orders and general information, contact a Staff Council member or Alma Smith at the University Bookstore at 562/985-7385.
Employees and outside vendors who want to reserve a vendor booth should contact Berta Hanson at 562/985-8798 by Monday, March 21.
