Carpenter Center To Host “Sneak Peek” For Its 2011-12 SeasonPublished: March 15, 2011
The Carpenter Performing Arts Center will highlight its 2011-12 season of events at its third annual Sneak Peek event on Wednesday, March 16, at 7 p.m. The free event will feature video and audio highlights of the upcoming season woven together with the insights from the center’s executive director Michele Roberge.
“The 2011-12 season will have more offerings than any other in recent years—it’s an eclectic mix that is as diverse as our Long Beach community,” said Roberge. “While continuing to offer our Wit and Wisdom, Spectacle, Dance and Cabaret Subscription Series, we will also have a variety of music and stage events, along with some special surprises.”
Now in its third year, the Sneak Peek event was conceived by Roberge as a response to the economic downturn in 2008.
“This free event has become popular because our patrons appreciate making an informed decision about how they spend their entertainment dollars,” Roberge stated. “Our patrons get more excited about what’s coming after getting an inside look—our ticket sales are at an all time high.”
After the Sneak Peek presentation, complimentary wine and refreshments will be available in the lobby. Attendees who place orders at the event will receive priority seating after renewing subscribers and before the general public. Tickets for the season will go on sale Wednesday, June 1.
Though the Sneak Peek event is free, reservations are required and can be made by calling the Carpenter Center Arts Ticket Office at 562/985-7000, or visit its website.
