Retirement Workshops Continue; Next Set for Aug. 10Published: August 2, 2010
Benefits Services will be conducting on-going workshops on “Understanding Your CalPERS Retirement Benefits” for CSULB CalPERS members. The workshops are two hours and are presented by Benefits Services.
Introduction – A brief overview of the CalPERS program and an introduction to information available on its Web site.
Understanding CalPERS – Participants will be guided through navigating the CalPERS Web site and assisted in accessing the CalPERS online retirement calculator, service credit purchase information and the annual member statement. Information also will be provided on benefits at retirement and the CalPERS retirement application process.
All CalPERS members are welcome to attend the workshops which are highly recommended for employees who have at least five years of CalPERS service credit and are at least age 50.
The workshop schedule is:
–Tuesday, Aug. 10, 10 a.m.-noon, College of Business Administration, Room 237A.
Additional workshop dates will be posted on Benefits Services’ Web site as they are confirmed.
Since these workshops are presented in a computer lab setting for hands-on learning, seating is limited. Reservations are required and are first-come, first-served.
