VET NET Ally Program Training Seminar on July 22

Published: July 15, 2010

Because the transition from military life to life on a college campus can be difficult, the CSULB Veterans Affairs Services Office has developed the VET NET Ally Program, a training program to educate faculty and staff about the unique needs and concerns of military service members and veterans studying at CSULB. Interested faculty and staff are invited to participate in the next scheduled half-day VET NET Ally training seminar on Thursday, July 22, from 8 a.m.-noon.

The program fosters a campus atmosphere that supports the academic and personal success of service members and veterans, and to establish a network of visible allies to provide support and assistance to CSULB students who have served in our armed forces.

Training seminar attendance is limited. To reserve a seat, contact Marshall Thomas at 562/985-5621. At the end of the training, participants will be given a decal to display in their workspace to show they are allies to CSULB’s student veterans.
