Emergency Preparedness Information

Crisis Action Team / Policy Group

Management of the earliest phases of an emergency is the most critical. Emergency response agencies must ensure an early exchange of information and complete initial decision-making prior to activation of the EOC. In the event of an emergency situation the Crisis Action Team will meet either in person, or by conference call to make recommendations, devise response strategy, and consider EOC activation.

The CSULB Crisis Action Team consists of the President, the Vice President for Administration and Finance, the Vice President for Academic Affairs, the Vice President for Student Services, the Vice President for University Relations and Development, the Assistant Vice President for Public Relations, and the Chief of University Police.

Upon activation of the EOC, management of the emergency will be handled by to EOC. The Crisis Action Team will act as the EOC Policy Group and assist in long term goal formation.
