I'm writing to thank all of you for the “smashing” coverage of international education at CSULB in the latest The Beach Review. Each of your contributions was thorough, well expressed, and complete with photos and quotes from the players involved. Your representative articles really helped promote"Abroad at the Beach."
CSULB is well known among international educators in this country for its internationalizing the curriculum, the International House and the fact that so many services are housed under one roof (in the Center for International Education), but too seldom is CSULB, itself, aware of this.
For a long while, I've wanted to raise the international presence on our campus—a comprehensive view of the many "things international" at CSULB. Together, you have managed to do that. I can't thank you enough for such excellence in reporting. Of course, there's more to be highlighted.
Again, on behalf of the CSULB International Education Committee, a heartfelt thank you!

I am an alumnus writing from Haymarket, Va. I just received the Fall 2007 issue of The Beach Review. My attention was immediately drawn to the cover picture credited to Victoria Sanchez and, in particular, the map in the background.
My wife and I have been looking for a large map we can use to help our grandchildren gain a perspective of the world in which they live. Any assistance you can provide us regarding where we could secure that or a similar map would be greatly appreciated.
I wish to commend you and your fellow staff members for a wonderful and informative issue.
