Distinguished Alumni Honored

The CSULB Alumni Association annually honors distinguished alumni selected by each college at the Alumni Award Banquet and at Commencement.

The 2006 honorees are:

College of the Arts—Jon Weden (1985, BFA, art), creative director with Landor Associates, an internationally recognized brand consulting and creative design firm.

College of Business Administration—James H. Eaton (1987, MBA), president and CEO, Airdrome Holdings LLC, an aerospace component manufacturer.

College of Education—Corina Villaraigosa (1983, B.A., liberal studies; 1984, credential), wife of Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa and an educator with the Montebello Unified School District.

College of Engineering—John Rochford (1977, B.A., civil engineering), president and CEO, Snyder Langston, a major Southern California construction and real estate development firm.

College of Health and Human Services—Ronald R. Arias (1971, B.A., kinesiology and physical education), director, Long Beach Department of Health and Human Services; and Paul Pursell (1972, B.S., physical therapy), director, physical rehabilitation services, St. Joseph Hospital of Orange.

College of Liberal Arts—Jeffery B. Erickson (1973, B.A., psychology; 1976, M.S., industrial psychology), senior technical fellow for human factors, Boeing Phantom Works; and Mick Ukleja (1973, B.A., philosophy), president, LeadershipTraQ.
