Tips for Taking Your Own Photos for Course Banners

2400 by 960 example

Dimensions for course photos should be 2400 px width by 960.

  1. Consider lighting. Do not shoot INTO a light source. Always make sure your subject is properly lit.
  2. Use wide lenses for establishing shots (i.e. general classroom photo) and narrower/zoom lenses for detail shots (i.e. portrait of student working on project).
  3. When using a mobile phone, always take photos landscape style (hold the phone sideways, not vertically).
