A Message from the Dean of Library Services
Welcome to the Library at California State University, Long Beach. Like other large academic libraries, at CSULB we are giving increasing emphasis to electronic, network-based collections and services. Though there always will be a place for print collections, we are committed to be a significant provider of electronic information services to the campus community. To that end, we have developed and will continue to expand this system of gateways to local and remote networked information resources to complement and enhance those available from other CSULB sites.
We understand that our mission lies in identifying, organizing, preserving, and making accessible the resources which are the basis for scholarly inquiry and the exploration of new fields of study. Through ongoing development of networked information resources and maintenance of comprehensive print-based collections, we will continue to provide relevant and innovative library services to CSULB students, faculty, staff, and the community.
