Internet Demographics by Marcus Zillman lists links for internet demographics. Note there are no annotations, you must guess by title and click to see if the data you need is there.
Research Guide to Statistics in Public Policy and Administration by California State University, Long Beach. Links to federal, state and local government data sets. Most are on demographics, finance, etc.
Statistical Resources on the Web in Political Science by the University of Michigan is a comprehensive guide to links on the web providing statistical data or information, i.e. campaign finances, elections, public opinion, etc.
Joint Center Databank by Census Information Center provides data from a few years ago on elected black officials and public opinion items. There are several data sets here.
Unique Statistics (specific collections):
Annenberg Political Fact Check by Annenberg Public Policy Center at University of Pennsylvania. A nonpartisan advocate to review factual accuracy of political players. This is an accountability listing not necessarily data sets.
Campaign Finance Report by the U.S. Federal Elections Commission (FEC) is searchable campaign financing since 1993. TIP: look at other campaign finance data for presidential financing and senatorial filings. Fundrace is based on FEC data allowing tracing of patterns of political donations in a city, state, or by zip code.
Decennial Census by the Department of Census. This links to .pdf files of the census from 1790 to 1990 and the electronic 2000. The Statistical Abstracts from colonial times to present are abstracts of data sets the U.S. government collects.
Follow the Money by the Institute on Money in State Politics provides research on campaign finace at the state level.
George Washington Battle Ground Poll by Tarrance Group (a polling company) provides Americans' opinions and recommendations to the major political parties.
League of Nations Statistical and Disarmament Documents by Northwestern University. This collection contains the full text of 260 League of Nations documents. The League existed from 1919 to 1946. The documents in this digitized collection focus on three areas: the founding of the League, international statistics published by the League, and the League's work toward international disarmament.
Office of Immigration by the United States Department of Homeland Security provides statistical information that assess the effects of immigration in the United States. Items like flows of refugees, asylees, natural citizens and permanent citizens.

A Primer of Statistics for Political Scienctists by Valdimer Orlando Key. A book that explains elementary techniques of quantitative analysis. It also explains several statistical procedures and provides exercises.
