Foreign Countries/Comparative Politics by Government Documents Librarians is a comprehensive collection of foreign government web sources.

Foreign Government Sources on the Web by University of Michigan Government Documents is a comprehensive collection of web sites and databases by country, region, and general information links. TIP: Some sources are only available to University of Michigan. Also check out its counterpart Political Science Sources for Area Studies.

Foreign Governments by International Documents at Northwestern University is a guide to the major web sites with the most listings of foreign government sites.

EUROPARL: the European Parliament on-line by the European Parliament empowered in 1975. Search-able in 20 languages to provide information on European government affairs, political groups, parliamentary sessions and EU.

U.S. Federal Government Information:

Federal Government Sources on the Web by University of Michigan Government Documents is a comprehensive collection of web sources and databases on the federal government by branch or topic. TIP: Some sources are only available to University of Michigan.

Founding Documents by the Constitution Society links to primary documents deal mainly with the founding of the United States.

U.S. Congress/Legislative Branch by Government Documents Librarians is a comprehensive collection of web sites of primary documents, legislation and research services used by the Congress.

U.S. Congressional Bibliographies by North Carolina State University Librarians. This authoritative, exhaustive reference source of meetings held and documents released House and Senate by Congressional committees since 1985. Its sources are the Congressional Record's "Daily Digest" and information supplies by the U.S. Senate Library.

U.S. Federal Agencies Directory by Louisiana State Library provides information on all the government agencies, boards, judiciary, etc.

United States Politics by Political Science Librarian Grace York is a listings of sources on elections, impeachment, minority politicians, lobbying, etc. TIP: Some sources are only available to University of Michigan.

U.S. State Government:

State and Local Government Information by Library of Congress. This leads to each state's official government web site plus links to general state government information.

U.S. Presidents Information:

Public Papers of the Presidents of the United States by University of Michigan is a searchable digital file to the presidential documents, then links to .pdf of the full document.

Public Papers of the Presidents of the United States by Government Printing Office provides access to papers from George H.W. Bush (1991) to present George W. Bush.

American President: An Online Reference Sources by the Miller Center for Public Affairs has a non-partisan resource on the history and workings of the American Presidency. There are biographies, timelines, cabinet members, etc.

Presidential Timeline of the Twentieth Century by University of Texas at Austin and Presidential Libraries. Covers Hoover to Clinton with  a selection of digitized assets from the collections of the twelve Presidential Libraries of the National Archives. Among these assets you'll find documents, photographs, audio recordings, and video relating to the events of the presidents' lives. Received Choice Outstanding Academic Titles for 2007 recognition.

Guide to Presidential Papers by University of California, Berkeley Documents Library explains where you can find presidential papers, proclamations, vetoes, biographical, elections, declassified documents, etc both in paper and on the web.

American Presidency by University of California Santa Barbara Faculty contains a collection of media (radio and television); papers, election data etc.

Presidential Papers from American Memory by the Library of Congress contain several key presidential papers and documents online. There are the inauguartion speeches and first lady portraits.

Avalon Project's President's of the United States by Yale Law Library provides access to almost all the presidents' papers.

U.S. President/Executive Branch by Government Documents Librarians is a listing of presidential web sites and most of the U.S. government agencies.

Presidents of the United States by CB Presidential Research Service provides links to speeches, birth & death information, political parties, vice-presidents, etc.

Presidential Speeches, Recordings, and Oral Histories by Miller Center of Public Affairs has a digital White House recordings from Roosevelt to Carter.

NGOs (Non-governmental Organizations)

NGO Research Guide by Chrislof Galli at Duke University contains description of what NGOs are, lists NGOs and provides links to sources.
