Literature of the Nonprofit Sector. Find articles, reports and books on philanthropy and fundraising. TIP: We may not have many of the materials but use Illiad to borrow them. It is also called Foundation Center Catalog of Nonprofit Literature.
Philanthropic Studies Index by IUPUI is a tool to locate information on voluntarism, nonprofit organizations, fundraising, and charitable giving. The bulk of citations currently indexed are from academic journals, dated 1940 to the present.
ABI/Inform Complete. Find magazines, scholarly, professional and newspapers articles on topics from the nonprofit or public sector. TIP: Use the classification code limit feature near the bottom of the page. Code 9540 (non-profit institutions) or 9550 (public sector) to get better results.

Foundation Finder by the Foundation Center is a searchable directory of private foundations, community foundations, grantmaking public charities, and corporate giving programs. TIP: Full Foundation Directory is a fee service.
GuideStar Directory of Nonprofits has 1.7 million entries. TIP: Need to register to search.
Idealist.org directory of Nonprofit Organizations. Search for about 73,000 organizations internationally by subject or focus.
League of California Community Foundations is a California based was created in 1994 as a statewide partnership of community foundations. They also provide resources regionally and for disaster preparedness and general readings on foundations.
Yahoo Web Directories to Nonprofit Resources links to sites that contain directory information.
Association of Fundraising Professionals has links to policy issues, fundraising dictionary, diversity essays in fundraising, and research-statistical sources.
Idealist.org The Nonprofit FAQ provides leads to organizational issues, development, management and other sources like books, websites, etc.
National Center for Charitable Statistics by the Urban Institute has FAQs about the charitable sector including financing, giving, legal and employee wage information.
