Association of Black Cardiologists (ABC)

Center for Research on Minority Health
Since 1999, CRMH is the only Congressional mandated center for research
on minority health and health disparities outside of the Federal
government.
A New York City-based private foundation supporting independent research on health and social issues - one of four current national programs is "Bettering the Health of Minority Americans." This site provides links to online copies of selected publications, ordering information for any of their publications, and also acts as a resource for other publications.
Cross Cultural Health Care Program
CCHCP disseminates their programs and products at the national level and provides nation-wide training for public and private organizations. It was established in 1992 to decipher and to negotiate the diverse health care needs of the growing non-mainstream, limited English speaking populations in the Seattle area.
Promotes language and cultural competence to improve the quality of health care for minority, immigrant, and ethnically diverse communities by acting as a resource to learn about language & cultural competence in health care, design better programs and policies, and network with colleagues and experts.

MHP, at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill's School of Public Health, maintains two databases of minority health information: Minority Health Research Catalog (annotated bibliography of studies relevant to the health of racial and ethnic populations) and Minority Health Database Catalog (information on existing data sets concerning the health of racial and ethnic minorities).
National Alliance for Hispanic Health
The National Alliance for Hispanic Health, an action forum for Hispanic health and well-being, is the oldest and largest network of health and human service providers servicing over 10 million Hispanic consumers throughout the U.S. since 1973.
National Asian Women's Health Organization
NAWHO is an advocacy group providing information and education about the health needs of Asian American women and families.
NCLR is a private, nonprofit, nonpartisan organization established in 1968 to reduce poverty, discrimination and improve life opportunities for Hispanic Americans. This site provides links to information on NCLR's health publications and policy & programs.
National Hispanic Medical Association
NHMA is a national, nonprofit medical association representing, supporting, and guiding physicians serving Hispanic populations in the United States. This site has limited links to other Hispanic medical sites.
NMA, established in 1895, is a national professional and scientific organization representing 20,000 African-American physicians.
National Minority Aids Council
This site serves as a central location for NMAC's and other leading organizations' treatment information and technical assistance publications. These publications are cataloged and made available to the public through a searchable database.
