CIFP: Country Indicators for Foreign Policy by Carleton University. Recommended links include conflict analysis, early warning, international development and non-governmental organizations.
Foreign Affairs Online by faculty member Robert J. Beck (now of University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee) while at University of Virginia. Good selection of links for think tanks, international relations, media, maps, and digital divide to name a few.
International Governmental Organizations (IGOs) by Northwestern (IL) University Government Publications Library. Comprehensive listing of intergovernmental organizations. The list is alphabetical by home page and provides other pages especially those that contain statistical sources or actual publications. Note the selection criteria for web pages is given.
International Human and Social Issues by CSU, Long Beach Political Science Librarian, Kelly Janousek. Provides links to issues dealing with human rights, slavery, child labor and world overpopulation to name a few.

Keele Guide to International Affairs and Transnational Issues on the Internet by faculty member Martin Harrison at Keele University (United Kingdom). Good selection of links to topics like arms control, biological warfare, boundaries, elections, international relations, political prisoners, war and war crimes to name a few. Note some links are commercial or advocacy inclined and have only a small amount of research information. Meanwhile, Keele University Faculty member Richard Kimber has a site on International Relations .
MERLN MiPALS by Military Education Research Libraries Network. These are Research Guide but actually called Military Policy Awareness Links (MiPALs). National Defense University Library lists resources to key U.S. policy statements on the country or topic of the MiPAL. The emphasis is U.S. military policy and includes sources from governmental, non-governmental, think tanks and scholarly journals. All documents are available full-text on the Internet.

Arranged by subject, which then links to a lengthy annotation about the web page. Subjects include international relations, security and conflict resolution, development, and politics & elections.

WWW Virtual Library: International Affairs Resources by faculty member Wayne Selcher at Elizabethtown College (PA). One of the first collection of links on international affairs (1997). Arranged by categories like countries, organizations, and topics.
Air University Library Index to Military Periodicals (AULIMP) by Air University searches the Air University journals and provides the full text articles. Also consider the Air Force Historical Research Agency for historical war information.
Avalon Project at Yale Law School-Documents in Law, History and Diplomacy by Yale Law School. Search by topic or browse full-text primary documents from the 18th to 21st century on things like Arab-Israeli conflict, cold war, diplomacy, and peace treaties etc.
Defense Technical Information Center (DTIC) by Department of Defense. You must register to use the site , since the information has levels of security clearance. The site deals with military and defense research. Another place for other military sites is the DTIC A to Z .
Diplomaticnet.com by Diplomaticnet. Search in several languages by keyword or topic directory. It has self-register links and was started for embassy staff. Links to embassies, consulates, international organizations, specialized non-government organizations.
Directory of Non-governmental Organizations by United Nations. Search by keyword, region or NGO activity to locate non-governmental organizations. Each entry gives provides contact information and web site link.
FIRST: facts on international relations and security trends by Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) and the International Relations and Security Network (ISN). Search all aspects of conflict and country information. It allows you to search on any of 196 individual countries and compare up to six countries at a time.
MIPT by National Memorial Institute for the Prevention of Terrorism (OK). Search or browse by categories dealing with terrorism and response groups. They also maintain the Terrorism Incidents and Significant Dates allows searching by geography, event, date, etc. This database features interactive maps, biographies, graphs and summaries of terrorist events back to 1968.
InternationalAffairs.com by Oxford Analytic. Browse by topic or category for newwires, statistical sources, associations, non-governmental organizations and think tanks. Note this is commercial site and there are pop up screens.
World Bank Group Documents . Search for publications by the World Bank on sectors like education, sanitation, environment, resettlement, etc. By type of report or by country.
Associations of France by AssoFrance search or browse in French to over 4300 association in France.
Crisis Group works to provent conflict worldwide. They have 120 analysts in more than 50 countries that provide reports on ongoing crisis and strategies for conflict resolution. This is an advocacy organization and as such, does not always provide dispassionate analyses.
Publications by Atlantic Council of the United States. These papers, books and interviews deal with international security, Asia and economics.
Carnegie Endowment for International Peace by CEIP. The website provides many reports and statements to advance the cooperation between nations. Geographically Russia has been the main focus but now China, Southeast Asia and non-proliferation of arms are included.
International Relations and Security Network by ISN provides publications on various topics and countries for security professionals. They also link to primary resources .
International Responsibilities Task Force by the American Library Association. This site provide alternative media and reports sources to events happening in Haiti, Israeli-Palestinian conflict, Iraq war, etc.
International Studies Association . This association has many sections that include links to various international organization, non-governmental organizations, associations, universities and organizations by region. The following section have good listing of resources Environmental Studies Section , Intelligence Studies Section , International Law Section , Peace Studies Section , and Post Communist States in International Relations .
Subject or Country Resources by Arms Control Association. This website provides interviews, magazine articles, treaties and reports on countries or by subject dealing with arms or weapons control.
Official Documents of the United Nations by United Nations. Search in several languages for official document (mainly documents and preliminary UN resolutions in .pdf format) from the United Nations from 1993 to present. There is also a useful links to other UN related sites.
Reports and Programs by International Crisis Group. This multinational organization provides field-based analysis to prevent and resolve conflict available in several languages. They also publish the monthly CrisisWatch magazine which briefly summarizes, assess and alerts on some 70 situations of current or potential conflict, listed alphabetically by region, and provides references and links to more detailed information sources.
Model UN by United Nations . These links are mostly to United Nations documents and positions on global issues.
Selections from Yearbook of International Organizations by Union of International Associations. This updates and provides new information based on the Yearbook of International Organizations . It has a nice listing of various language search engines for International Organizations.
United Nations World Organizations by Hieros Gamos a legal website. This provides links to all the United Nations, NAFTA, and other major international non-governmental organizations.
United States Department of State provides country- and issue-specific information on sociopolitical situations, human rights, environment and terrorism. For historical data from 1993 to 1997 see DOSFAN: Department of State Foreign Affairs Network .
Foreign Policy by DigitalHistory leads to primary documents on foreign policy. Choose by date or event.
Frontline Diplomacy: the foreign affairs oral history collection of the Association for Diplomatic Studies and Training by the Library of Congress. The site contains transcripts of interviews with U.S. diplomatic personnel capture their experiences, motivations, critiques, personal analyses, and private thoughts. While some 1920s-, 1930s-, and World-War-II-era diplomacy is covered, most of the interviews involve post-World-War-II diplomacy, from the late 1940s to the 1990s.
Center for Nonproliferation Studies (CNS) by Monterey Institute of International Studies provides books, reports, papers and articles analyzing spread of weapons of mass destruction. Browse by region or subject, e.g. terrorism, missiles, chemical/biological and treaties.
Council on Foreign Affairs provides studies, debates and information on regions and foreign policy. It also provides issues discussions that are reproduced from their journal Foreign Affairs .
globalEDGE by Michigan State University. A international business web site with country economic, monetary and market indicator type information. It contains CIA country reports, laws, etc.
Globetrotter Research Galleries by University of Berkeley (CA). This site contains interviews in text or video/audio formats (uses RealPlayer). The topics that have been covered include "Foreign Policy after 9/11," "International Relations: Theory and Practice," or "Changing United Nations" to name a few.
World Policy Institute by New School University. Offers access to publications and research that "seeks innovative solutions to critical problems facing the United States and the world." This group publishes the World Policy Journal .
IR Theory Web by Model International Organization, Social Change Site, and Unit for Internet Studies. This site provides definitions of various international relations paradigms, approaches, and theories. There are also listing of links to political science departments worldwide, graduate programs and journal in the discipline.
