Gerontological Society of America
The official site of the GSA offers information regarding memberships, conferences, news, programs and job information.
Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report
The MMWR is prepared by the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and new information is posted each week on Friday. The information in the MMWR is based on weekly reports to the CDC by state health departments. The site offers information on its publications, disease trends, "straight facts" about diseases and more.
National Black Child Development Institute
The mission of this institute is "to improve and protect the quality of life of african american children and families." The site offers information on memberships, a section on public policy, and a resource center.
National Institute of Child Health and Human Development
This is the official government site for the NICHD. It provides information about the NICHD, information on news and events and research resources.
Partnership for Caring
This site, by the non-profit organization, is dedicated to improving "the way people die in our society," and provides all kinds of information on end-of-life care. The site offers press releases, background information on end-of-life issues, membership information and a store to buy their publications and videos.
