ART INDEX

ETHNIC NEWSWATCH
This database is an excellent source for finding perspectives from ethnic communities on almost any topic.  The database is a full-text resource of magazine and newspaper articles written by and for various ethnic groups in the United States.  CSULB Authentication Required.

GENDERWATCH
40,000 full text articles from more than 100 international journals, books, magazines and newsletters, plus
unpublished papers and conference proceedings and nearly 1,000 special reports devoted to gender and women's issues. Includes articles from the Ethnic NewsWatch database on ethnic and minority women and women of color. Coverage: 1978 to present. CSULB Authentication Required.

BLACK STUDIES CENTER
This index provides a multidisciplinary exploration into the history, culture, politics, and experience of African people throughout the world.  Coverage of  African and Native American interactions is included. VOAHA -Virtual Oral/Aural History Archive

VOAHA makes available approximately 275 hours of original oral history recordings in ethnic history/studies enabling the user, to hear the voice, pitch, rhythm and emotion of African Americans, American Indian, Asian American and Mexican/Chicano/a narrators.

Fourteen hours in the American Indian Studies collection provide valuable insight into the American Indian experience, including the impact of the Indian boarding schools and the occupation of Alcatraz Island.

BILL'S ABORIGINAL LINKS
A very extensive, well-organized site compiled by Canadian lawyer, Bill Henderson, who often represents tribes on Native legal matters. Consequently, his law section is particularly good.
