Campus Community Update #253

December 10, 2009

Picture of student studying with coffee

It’s 4 a.m. and the Library’s open; Keep the Coffee Coming!

The library’s on your schedule:

This semester, as always, the Library has announced an extended hours schedule prior to, and during, finals. Students can have access to the library’s study areas, computers, and research collections whenever they may need them.

But this semester there’s something new: the building started opening December 6 for its usual extended hours schedule (including Friday night until 9, and other nights until 2 a.m.). And on Sunday, December 13 through Friday, December 18 at 5 p.m. the building won’t close at all. During the extended and 24 hour schedules the escort service also is being increased so that students can be assured of a safe trip to the parking lot or structure.

And the Starbucks is on us…

Although the Library’s Starbucks will continue to close at 11 p.m. during the new schedule, compliments of the Library, containers of free Starbucks coffee will be provided while supplies last, just outside the Starbucks area in the library lobby, the perfect complement to an all night cram session.
