By Popular Request:  The Library’s Open All Night During Finals!

Need a quiet place to study? A computer to finish your term paper? Have a last-minute assignment and need to use the library’s reference books and databases?

You’re in luck. Beginning Sunday, December 6th the University Library will begin its traditional extended hours schedule. On Sunday, December 13th the schedule will increase again, and the Library building will be open 24 hours a day until December 18th. “This is a schedule that students have asked us to provide,” said Roman Kochan, Dean and Director of Library Services. “There’s been demand for ‘round the clock access to the Library during finals, and we’re particularly glad that we are able to offer it this year, when students already have had their share of uncertainty and inconvenience.” The hours will be:

December 6th (Sunday) through December 12th (Saturday) - Extended Schedule*

Day Open Close
Sunday 12:30 p.m. 2:00 a.m.*
Monday - Thursday 7:45 a.m. 2:00 a.m.*
Friday 7:45 a.m. 9:00 p.m.
Saturday 10:00 a.m. 2:00 a.m.*

December 13th (Sunday) until December 18th (Friday) - 24 Hour Schedule*

Open:  12:30 p.m. Sunday
Close:  5:00 p.m. Friday

                                *Lower Level, including the Reserve Media Desk, will close at 11 p.m.

                              Escort Service will be available to accommodate the extended schedules
