University Library Tours

Tours of the library for off-campus groups have been suspended until 2011

Due to the campus budget and the projected 10/11 budget, current outreach efforts are limited to the campus, rather than the community (including high schools and community colleges), at least until the end of 2011. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience.

The Library provides, upon request and dependent on staff availability, guided tours of the University Library. Tours are available Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm. Tours generally include visits to various service areas of the library: the Reference Center, Media and Reserve Services, Current Periodicals, and Microforms. Demonstrations of the Library's online catalog, COAST, are also provided. Library tours are generally 30-45 minutes, and are available to on-campus groups and LBUSD high schools. Please call (562) 985-7850 at least two weeks in advance to schedule a tour for your group. Library tours provide a general orientation to the library and do not include subject oriented research or search strategy instruction.
