CollegeSource Online

CollegeSource Online features over 25,000 complete college catalogs from 2-year, 4-year, graduate, professional, and international schools.  In addition to current catalogs, many schools have older catalogs available.  Tables of contents and indexes are linked to the catalog content so one can easily find the sections needed by clicking on the subject desired.

Searching

Enter a keyword from the name of the college or university.   You'll get a screen that contains the names of all the schools with that keyword in their name.  Example:  enter Long Beach in the search box and you'll get a screen containing California State University-Long Beach, Devry University-Long Beach, and Long Beach City College.  Click on the icon in front of the school name to select the pdf catalof, profile, website, etc.  Click the pdf icon to see which year's catalogs are available for the school.  If you're looking for catalogs, click on the year of the catalog you wish to see.  After you select the year's catalog you want by clicking on the pdf icon, you can navigate through the catalog by clicking on the contents in the frame to the left of the screen,  The listings in the table of contents and the index are hyperlinked to the contents of the catalog.   A click on the profile icon gives you a screen with information about the school; click the web icon to go to the school's website

Printing, Saving, or Emailing Results

The easiest way to get the information is to use the Adobe Acrobat print icon to print particular pages from the catalog.  Be sure to indicate which pages you wish to print when the print dialog box appears.

You also can use the Adobe Save features to save the results of your search; however, there is no way to limit the amount saved.  You will save the whole catalog.

There is no convenient email feature that can be used to send results of a search.

However, if you are using the database from a workstation where you have access to a word processing program such as Word, you can cut and paste the desired information.  Highlight the text you need using the T (Text Select Tool) icon on the Adobe Acrobat tool bar, copy the text, and paste it into a Word document.  Then print the Word document.
