The University Library is committed to helping students successfully use the University Library and information of all kinds. Library instruction aims to give students the skills to find, critically analyze, and effectively utilize all types of information.  In 1998, the Library developed Information Literacy Minimum Standards and we have been working to help students achieve these standards ever since.  We do this through course-integrated instruction and a variety of other methods that connect students and the Library. 

For Faculty:

• University 100-Library Component (Required course for all undergraduates entering CSULB with fewer than 56 transferable units)

• Research Guides (Learn about resources specific to your research topics)

• Request a Research Appointment (Meet with a librarian and get personalized research help)
• Outreach for CSULB related programs (EOP, ALI, etc)

For Visitors & High Schools:  

• High School Outreach Program (Available to local area high schools)
• University Library Tours (Available to on-campus and LBUSD High School groups)
• Services for Visitors Web Site (Learn about other services)
