CSULB University Library
 Reference

Reference collections and services are located on the 1st floor. This is the key service area for your information needs.  Materials such as dictionaries, encyclopedias, almanacs, and some atlases are all included in the reference collection. You may search for reference materials by keyword, author, title, subject, and call number in COAST.

Librarians at the Reference Desk will help you:

Reference
  • Locate information for your assignments
  • Identify specific sources available for your research
  • Utilize the newest electronic resources
  • Obtain in-depth assistance with particularly difficult questions.
You can also make an appointment with the appropriate librarian subject specialist when you need assistance with extensive research questions.

Reference is designed to be a teaching service. Students who find instructional conversations and computer sounds distracting may wish to use the Study Areas on other library floors.
