Reference is designed to be a teaching service. Students who find instructional conversations and computer sounds distracting may wish to use the Study Areas on other library floors.



In Reference, you will find research materials such as dictionaries, encyclopedias, almanacs, atlases as well as the Librarians to guide you in your research.  Some of the things Librarians will help you with: 
  • Locate information for your assignments
  • Identify specific sources available for your research
  • Utilize the newest electronic resources
  • Obtain in-depth assistance with particularly difficult questions.

You can also make an appointment with the appropriate librarian subject specialist when you need assistance with extensive research questions.
