Microsoft's Autos "The smartest way to buy your next car" according to Microsoft. Site includes information on cars by type (passenger, sports cars, vans, etc.), dealer locations (including a map), reviews of autos, information on electric cars, and invoice price reports.
Motor Trend is a popular car magazine. There is a buyer's guide, "Motor Trend’s new car buyer’s guide will give you the information you need to negotiate like a seasoned professional when buying a new car."
AutoByTel Gives information on pricing and specifications, safety data, manufacturer incentives and vehicle reviews. When you're ready to buy, you submit a request for the car or truck you want to buy, and a rep from a nearby AutoByTel affiliated dealership will call you within 24 hours.

Edmund's Automobile Buyer's Guide Car prices and reviews of both new and old car models. Edmunds lists ratings on safety, reliability, performance, comfort and value. This also provides a loan calculator to see what your loan payments will be.
Kelley Blue Book Provides car pricing information on almost every available car model.
Yahoo's Automotive Links Links to other sites on car pricing, home pages for particular automobile makers, information on financing, and links to sites which will show various states' license plates and give you legal information about the display of license plates.

American Motorcyclist Association A organization that defends the rights of motorcyclists by seeking out bad laws and anti-motorcycling discrimination at all levels and is also the world's largest motorsports sanctioning body. The site also contains fatality statistics.
Buying a Safer Car by National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. This provides the star rating by the NHTSA on vehicles rollovers, tire safety and other factors. The crash videos are also available.
Google Directory: Automobile Safety A list of sites that provide crash data, statistics on automobile deaths by type and airbag information.
Insurance Institute for Highway Safety/Highway Loss Data Institute These are crash dummies site. There is lots of data on each car model surviving various types of crash situations. There is also data on those models targeted by thefts. This site is nonprofit but supported by auto insurers.
Traffic Safety and Occupant Protection A site by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration on injury prevention like driving drowsy, distracted or aggressively. There is also crash data and driver performance information.
National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Lots of numbers on fatalities, automobile safety, seat belts, child restraints, testing, regulations, etc.
Fuel Economy This site offers information about fuel economy on cars and trucks, and tips on how to optimize mileage. Gives information on greenhouse gas emissions, air pollution ratings, and safety for new and used cars. It is provided by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
Green Vehicles This provides information on vehicles that are fuel-efficient.
Primer on Gasoline Prices by the Federal Citizens Information Center. This 2003 publication tells what taxes, etc. determine gasoline pricing and why Californians pay more for gasoline.

Car-Clubs World Wide This is a list by car, model, maker of groups that connect to celebrate that type of car.
License Plates of the World Arranged by country. Provides a picture of the plate(s) and the political sanction of the license plate. You can even look up license plates by the colors of blue, black, green, red and yellow to see which countries have them. The legend at the end, helps to identify countries that no longer exist.
