There are no direct links from the SFX menu to full text articles held within either Factiva or Lexis Nexis Academic. You must launch a search in the database in order to get the text of the article you need.
Factiva
Click on the link in the SFX menu to "Search for your article in Factiva". This will start a session in Factiva. You will be taken to the main search screen. Copy and paste the article title into the search box in Factiva. Factiva automatically searches the "headline and lead paragraph" fields. Make sure that the date range selected covers the date of the article you need (Factiva defaults to search the latest three months).
Lexis Nexis Academic
Click on the link in the SFX menu to "Search for your article in Lexis Nexis Academic". This will start a session in Lexis Nexis. You will be taken to the "Sources" search screen. The name of the publication you need will already be entered as the search. To proceed, click on the link for "Search this Title" near the bottom of the page. On the next search screen, type the title of the article you need in the "Enter Search Terms" box.
If you are unable to retrieve the full text article you need from either Factiva or Lexis Nexis Academic, please see a Reference Librarian for further assistance or contact the CSULB Library Web Group.
