If you have a version of Netscape that says Navigator, Communicator or Netscape version 6.0, you MUST upgrade your version of Netscape or use Microsoft Internet Explorer version 5.5 or above

Netscape version 6.2x is the most tested version of Netscape's browsers with University Library web applications. Netscape recently released version 7.0. The Library is currently testing version 7.0 for compatibility and is not 100% certain that it will work with all our web applications. It is recommended that you download, install and configure Netscape version 6.2x if you want to continue to use Netscape as your web browser.

Some people find that it is helpful to have multiple versions of Netscape on the same computer since some websites work better with an older version. You can keep your older version of Netscape on your computer and download the updated version, just make sure you indicate a different directory during the install process. This way you an have Netscape 4, 6.0, 6.2 and 7.0 on the same computer for different websites.

Download Netscape version 6.2x

When the download completes, install the software. Once your new browser is installed, proceed to the next step:
