CSULB participates in the CSU-Microsoft Campus Agreement [opens new window], which only allows the installation of Microsoft Sharepoint Designer 2007 for Windows on university owned computers. Campus technology staff can download Sharepoint Designer 2007 from Software Depot for this purpose. Faculty and staff may order Sharepoint Designer 2007 at the University Computer Store [opens new window] for personally owned computers used primarily for university business. Contact your division, department or college technologist for assistance.

System Requirements

The following system requirements are the minimum necessary to run Sharepoint Designer 2007.

  • Intel Pentium 700-MHz or faster processor
  • 512 MB of RAM or greater
  • 1.5 GB of available hard-disk space - a portion of this disk space will be freed after installation if the original download package is removed from the hard drive.
  • CD-ROM or DVD Drive
  • 1024 x 768 or higher-resolution monitor
  • Microsoft Windows™ XP with Service Pack 2 (SP2), Windows Server 2003 with SP1, or later operating system.
  • Windows SharePoint Services or Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 is required for SharePoint site customization, workflow design, and application building functionality.
  • Internet Explorer 6.0 or later, 32 bit browser only. Internet functionality requires Internet access. Network access required.

Installation

Campus-owned Computers

If the software you download from Software Depot is in the ISO format and your CD-burning software does not support ISO images, OAT recommends downloading ISO Recorder [opens new window].

Sharepoint Designer 2007 is part of the CSULB Microsoft Campus Agreement Program. Activate the product using CSULB's volume license key ( serial number ) for this product during the installation process. The license key is displayed as part of the product details in Software Depot. Log in to Software Depot and then click on the "My Software" link in the upper left hand corner of the page. Click on the link labeled "Secure Download" for the product and activation code.

Personally-owned Computers

The University's Volume Licensing Media and keys may NOT be used for Sharepoint Designer 2007 installations on personally owned computers used primarily for university business. For those installations, faculty and staff must purchase media from the bookstore.
